why can't thing just work

i have been in the house some time now and you would think the month it took to switch my internet over would take the record for longest ruining problem but the water company is not going down withot a fight as they make it impossible to set up an account. we phone them when i first move in and was told that they need to activate the meter after more phone calls  i got a phone call asking me to set up my accout online. so i tried today only to get a message on screen saying "something when wrong" and i will get a call in 10 days , i am not going to hold my breath.
