I have started a new project making 12 masks and so 12 youtube videos one for each month this is in part so I can fill out my youtube schedule and so give me more time to work on longer projects

new bit of artwork i have just started, building a paper mache mask but this one is on a wooden bored to try and make something a lot more wall mountable 

the last layer

i have just finished the last paper layer on my big round mask so tomorrow i can make a start on painting it. i don't have much of a plan so we will just have to see where it goes

my big round mask is still being worked on here it is as it stands

i need to build up around the eyes and try and make it look a bit more carved

today's page is a watercolour of  the hare mask i started working on yesterday

 and i have work more on that mask. as you can see in the i have moved the ears back to give them a windswept look

today i finished one project and started a new one: my YouTube channel trailer is ready for upload and Easter is on its way so i am making a hare mask

 and that is why today's page is of hares

and we have come back round to Monday so here is a video of the last week

trick or treat spell book build video

i have made a big Papier Mâché spell book and a youtube video of the making of a big Papier Mâché spell book because i am super productive

big yellow duck's head

you may remember back in december i was covering a exercise ball in papier mâché and i didn't tell you what i was doing. now you have a answer i was making a big yellow duck head

and yes a print of a photo of me wearing the big yellow duck's head is now on sale at redbubble

this project inspired by two thing 

first a prop i made and used on some artwork for my brother's music 

and secondly Isis. well not Isis but people mocking Isis with the use of rubber duck and photoshop

 but there is more to this project than a single print on redbubble there is also a youtube vidio

and the project goes full circle with my brother putting together a duck theme soundtrack for the video

my ball has now been deflated and removed from its paper cocoon

the last layer?

so you may be curious to know what i am doing with that ball.

well i'm still knot saying but i will let you know that applying what i think is the last layer of Papier-mâché

today i will mostly be gluing strips of paper to a big round ball. this is mostly what i have been doing for the past week.

i have set up my camera on it's tripod and have it pointed at my exercise ball as i cover it in covered in Paper Maché

i have painted my mask

 and i think this is the photo that will become the print after i have done some editing. i did try to retake this photo with the stuff in the background move but could not get it to look as good so i will clear it away in the  edit

i am building up the mask so it cover more of my head and will stay on without adding a strap.
